North Perth
Private Fees:
Standard fees - $90 per consultation
Discounted fees - $80 per consultation (pensioners, independent students and HCC holders)
Preferred Provider Fees – We have special arrangements with BUPA and Medibank Private. These funds provide a higher rebate to preferred providers who reduce their fees so that members have less out-of-pocket cost.
We accept cash, EFTPOS, Mastercard and Visa (no surcharge).
Health Insurance Rebates:
The rebate you receive from your private health fund depends on the fund and your individual level of cover. We recommend contacting your fund should you wish to know what your out-of-pocket expense will be. The item codes for Physiotherapy are 500 (Initial Assessment) and 505 (Subsequent Assessment).
HICAPS is available to process your claim at the time of consultation. Please bring your Health Insurance card with you as we are unable to process HICAPS claims after the date of service.
Parking:
Free 1 hour parking is available in the View Street carpark at the rear of the building or across the road in the Wasley Street carpark. Both require a free ticket to be displayed.
Paid parking is also available at the front of the clinic except after 4.15pm when Fitzgerald Street becomes a clearway.

Yes! If you are injured in a motor vehicle accident as a passenger or no fault driver, then you are probably entitled to treatment which is paid for by Third Party Insurance (Insurance Commission of WA). Similarly, injured workers are usually covered by their employers Workers’ Compensation Insurance. APS Physiotherapy invoices your insurance company directly, so there is no out-of-pocket expense to entitled patients. However, a doctor’s referral is required.
Physiotherapy consultations take between 20-60 minutes. This depends on the treatment style of your therapist, the complexity of your problem and how familiar the therapist is with your condition.
Ideally patients should wear loose comfortable clothing. You may need to undress depending on the nature of your condition. In many cases, your Physio can treat you over your clothing. If you feel uncomfortable undressing, please advise your practitioner.
Please bring all items that relate to your condition and previous treatment. These might include X-rays and other scans, medical reports and shoes (Runners with lower back or lower limb injuries, Classical dancers on pointe or Irish dancers in hard shoes).
Yes. You can bring anyone you like into the treating area with you but please be mindful that we do not have many spare chairs or a very large space!
No. Physiotherapists are primary contact practitioners so a referral is not required for private patients.
Physiotherapy treatment is covered under the ancillary branch of your private health insurance. Some funds allow you to elect individual ancillary services so you may need to check with you health fund to determine your specific level of cover and rebate.
Yes we do!
APS abides by the Health Department of WA guidelines. This includes registering on the Safe WA app on arrival, maintaining 1.5m social distancing in our waiting areas and use of hand sanitisation. Our treatment beds are cleaned with an anti-viral solution between every patient and masks are worn when we are directed to do so.
We do not currently restrict access to those who are unvaccinated and welcome all patients until we are advised otherwise.
